The meaning of processing your personal information

  • Personal information and special personal information include any information relating to a living or juristic person who can be identified. Race, gender, marital status, nationality, age, physical or mental health, disability, language, education, identity number, telephone number, email, postal or street address, biometric information, and financial, criminal, or employment history are a few examples.
  • • Process refers to any operation or activity involving personal information, whether automated or not, such as collection, receipt, recording, organization, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation, use, dissemination by means of transmission, distribution, or making available in any other form, merging, linking, as well as information blocking, degradation, erasure, or destruction.

When you give us information about third parties (for example, your spouse, beneficiaries, and/or dependents), we will use that information to issue a policy/benefit and pursue their legitimate interests. We will also use personal information for the purposes specified in this Notice. You warrant that any personal information you provide us about third parties is accurate and correct, and that you have their permission to share their personal information with us for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice or any other related purposes. If you consent on behalf of a person under the age of 18 (a minor), you confirm that you are competent and have the authority to consent on their behalf.

Why we process your personal information

We must process some of your personal information in order to provide you with our products and services, as well as to comply with insurance, tax, and other laws.
